Pocketwatch
I was just youtube surfing after posting the last post and I came across these early Dave G. songs from Pocketwatch, which I had heard about but are hard to find. They were recorded solo on the side. I think they were done in 1990/1991 just after Dave G joined Nirvana. Miss this raw sound. You can definitely hear the influences both ways. Especially if you listen to Bleach(89) Vs Nevermind(91).
You can find some torrents of the album.
Like the riff
A little Foo in this, especially the vocal sound in some parts.
Noisy ;-)

Full Circle?
Husker Du doing a cover of Ticket to Ride:
Then Husker Du's own song with distinctly Beatles sounds:
Foo Fighters covering Huskers Song, of course everyone knows Nirvana was influenced by Husker:
Dave on drums for Paul M (sound is crappy but Dave looks like Animal from the Muppets so its funny anyway, especially when you imagine Ringo in his place)
